How much do custom cakes cost?
While the pricing of each cake is subject to size and decoration, our custom cakes start at $10.00 per serving for buttercream cakes, and $12.00 per serving for fondant cakes. Most of our custom design work ranges from $15-$25 based on the varying levels of design, quantity and varieties of sugar florals. please contact us with all your details for an accurate estimate.

Do you have a minimum?
We have a minimum order of $1500. We do require the minimum cake order be met prior to the addition of any additional sheet cakes, supplemental cakes, desserts, delivery, tax, etc. We do not take orders under our minimum order at this time.

Do you have a minimum for desserts as well?
We are currently only offering our dessert selections to custom cake customers.

Do you make exceptions to the minimum order price of $1500? We only need a small cake.
Unfortunately we do not. We make certain exceptions for previous clients who have met our minimums in the past, looking to order special occasion cakes such as anniversaries and birthdays, but otherwise, all minimums must be met.

Where are you located?
Our Custom Cake studio is located in Bothell and is open by appointment only. Please contact us to set-up an appointment.

Do you deliver?
We currently offer delivery within a 20 mile radius. The delivery service charge starts at $75. Additional fees are applied for long distance deliveries outside of our 20 mile radius, and deliveries where ferry travel is required.
**Please note: During peak wedding season, if your cake delivery requires ferry travel or your venue is more than 20 miles from our bakery, the minimum cake order is $3,000 - excluding the delivery fee, for delivery locations more than 100 miles, or require cross state travel, the minimum cake order is $5,000- excluding the delivery fee..**

How do we reserve our date?
In order to ensure all of our attention is made to making your cake perfect for your special day, we only commit to a limited number of custom cake orders per week. A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to reserve your date.

We know we would like to book you for our event, but are not sure about what we want for our cake design yet?
Based on the information we do have (guest count, cake size, etc) we can generate a cost estimate that we can use to secure your date in our calendar. Once the details are finalized, we can make edits to your total cost balance, and add any additional deposits that may be needed.

Do you offer cake tastings?
We offer 3 different signature cake flavors of your choosing. We would then discuss the style and design of your cake and create a custom cake sketch. We charge a $60 fee for the tasting. Custom cake flavors/ fillings can be created for an additional $10 fee. We ask for at least one weeks notice to have time to prepare for your personalized cake tasting as each tasting cake is prepared fresh to order, just as our custom cakes are. The tasting fee is waived if you book with us at your appointment.

How about dessert tastings?
We have a chefs choice dessert sampling tasting that includes various popular seasonal options, for $40. If there are additional items you are looking to try, please specify and we can try to arrange that.

Do you offer cake boards, pillars and/or cake stands?
We have all the items necessary to complete your vision for your cake. We have a large inventory of classic and vintage cake stands in various sizes and styles. All items vary in cost. You can see our available rentals here. Please note that not all of our stands/platters may be listed on the page. Inquire with us, if you are not seeing a style that you are looking for.

Do you offer florals on cakes?
We create custom sugar flowers by hand to match the florals used by your florist in your wedding event design. In order to achieve consistency throughout your event, we like to work hand in hand with your event designer and florist to create lifelike sugar flowers. We highly recommend ordering additional florals from your florist providing florals for the event if you would like fresh florals for your cake. We will then clean, process, wrap and decorate your custom cake on site with the florals provided. If you are not having florals provided, we would be happy to provide florals at an additional cost. As with our cake ingredients, we order local, pesticide free florals when possible. Costs on florals vary based on intricacy of design, and type of florals.

Can you create custom cake flavors not on your list?
Absolutely! Since we are a made to order bakery (everything is fresh, never frozen) cost variances typically differ based on if special ingredients would need to be ordered to achieve the cake. If ingredients outside of our regular list are required, an additional $1-2 per serving may be added, depending on the flavor request.

Can you create vegan or gluten free cakes and desserts?
We have a very limited selection of gluten free and vegan cake options. All specialty (vegan, dairy free, gluten free) cakes start between $12+ per serving. Please inquire for more details. If you are looking to us for your gluten full cake, and want additional certified GF options, we have worked with an amazing GF bakery in the Seattle area and would be happy to offer a referral.

Do you offer sheet cakes?
We do offer kitchen cakes, in supplement to custom cake orders of $1500 or more. Our kitchen cakes are 3 layers of cake and 2 layers of filling. Prices start at $6 per serving.
